Is a figurine a cool gift to give my girlfriend for her birthday?
Hi everyone, my girlfriend is turning 17 in a week (I am 16, btw), so of course I got her a present for the occasion. We have been together for about 6 weeks, and I have never gotten a gift for her before.
She is a very sweet girl and she loves to play the flute. So I was shopping for a gift for her, thinking maybe I would get her a necklace or some other sort of jewelry. But I came across this really nice china figurine of an angel playing the flute. She comes from a very religious family, so I figured maybe she would like the angel, and the flute personalizes it for her as well.
My question is, is this a stupid gift to give her? I mean I know lots of women like china figurines to decorate their home, but do you think she is too young to appreciate such a gift?
I’m wondering if maybe I should just do that standard jewelry gift…but I felt that this was a cool gift that she would enjoy because it relates to her personal life.
If I were to get her jewelry I would probably wind up spending around $100, since I don’t like junk jewelry and I would feel ashamed giving her crappy jewelry as a gift. Since we are early in our relationship, I don’t feel it is appropriate to spend so much money on her right now. The figurine only cost about $25, and I figured that was a good price based on the occasion and how long we have been going out

or buy one thing that you know she’ll love? my ex brought me a book on tyhe development of baby animals…unusual and inexpensive but it was perfect.
I think you should get her the figurine. The price doesn’t matter. Getting her something personalized shows her you know things about her and that you care. Jewelry is standard and any guy could have gotten it. The angel will tell her you care about the real her.
Definitely go with the angel. It is much better than the jewelery could ever be because it shows that you actually pay attention to what she enjoys.
The price is also a plus. Just do not tell her that it only cost $25
I think she will love it.
